Terms of Use
Effective September 9, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to lawyeritrust.com and its directory, Learning Center, and search tools. By using the site, you agree to these Terms.
What Lawyer I Trust provides
Lawyer I Trust is an independent, curated attorney directory and educational resource. It is not a law firm, lawyer-referral service, legal-advice service, or party to any engagement between a visitor and an attorney.
Directory inclusion reflects a research-based evaluation of relevant website signals and public signals related to an attorney’s practice and client-service presence. It is not a ranking, endorsement, guarantee of quality or results, statement that every suitable attorney has been listed, or promise that a listed attorney is right for a particular matter. Listed attorneys are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Lawyer I Trust.
No legal advice; no attorney-client relationship
Learning Center material and search results are general information only. They are not legal advice and do not create an attorney-client relationship with Lawyer I Trust, a listed attorney, or an article contributor. Laws and procedures vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Consult a qualified attorney about a specific situation.
Smart Search and Learning Center search
Search tools are one-time matching and content-discovery tools, not a chat service. Do not submit confidential, privileged, personally identifying, medical, financial, or case-specific information, including names or case numbers. You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to contact an attorney.
Attorney profiles and contributor content
Attorney profiles may be based on public sources and information supplied by attorneys. We may correct, revise, add, remove, or decline a profile or content at any time. Attorneys may submit educational articles for editorial review. Publication or authorship does not improve directory placement, and directory selection does not guarantee publication. Contributor views are their own unless Lawyer I Trust expressly states otherwise.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful personal or professional research. You may not misuse the site; interfere with its operation; attempt unauthorized access; use automated means to scrape or overload it without permission; submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or confidential material; or use the site to harass, solicit, or harm another person.
External links and intellectual property
External links, attorney websites, and third-party content are provided for convenience. Lawyer I Trust does not control or endorse them. The site’s original content, branding, and design are protected by applicable law; you may not reproduce or use them except as permitted by law or with written permission.
Availability and liability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided without warranties of any kind, and Lawyer I Trust is not liable for decisions made in reliance on the site, attorney services, third-party content, or site interruptions.
Governing law; changes; contact
These Terms are governed by Ohio law, except where another law must apply. We may update these Terms as the site changes; the effective date above identifies the current version. Questions or requests may be submitted through Contact Us.
