Heather Moore Collins founded HMC Civil Rights as a solo practice in 2009 out of a deep commitment to give a real voice to people who had been ignored or silenced across Nashville, Columbia, Franklin, Murfreesboro, and throughout Tennessee. In 2025, she was recognized as the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association’s Outstanding Trial Lawyer of the Year. She serves as a partner at the firm and focuses her active trial practice on representing individuals in state and federal courts in civil rights, employment, and sexual assault matters.
