Marc A. Gonzalez was born in Birmingham and graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2016 with a degree in criminal justice and a minor in computing technology and applications. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law in December 2019 and passed the Alabama State Bar exam a few months later, following the path of his father and grandfather at the Gonzalez Law Firm.
